The Offer

What You Actually Get, And What It Costs

It costs nothing and there is no catch to explain. We run a structured cybersecurity assessment of your security posture, your systems, your exposure and your backup position, and we give you the findings in writing with priorities and rough costs against each one.

That document is yours. If you take it to your current provider and they work through it, we would consider that a good outcome for you and a fair one for us. We would rather be the firm that told you the truth than the firm that held it back to force a sale.

The reason we can afford to do this is that the findings are usually persuasive on their own. Most assessments surface at least one thing the business did not know about, and quite often it is a backup that has not been successfully tested or an administrator account that nobody can account for.

The Process

Four Steps, About A Week End To End

01

Fifteen-minute call

A short, unstructured conversation about what prompted the inquiry and what actually breaks. No questionnaire and no sales engineer.

02

Cybersecurity Assessment

About thirty minutes of your time. We look at identity, endpoints, mail, backup, patching and exposure, and we do not need to disrupt anybody to do it.

03

Written roadmap

Findings ranked by risk, with what each fix involves and roughly what it costs. Plain English, no scoring theater.

04

Your decision

Engage us, take the roadmap elsewhere, or fix it yourself. All three are acceptable answers and none of them changes what you keep.

Who It Suits

When This Is Worth Doing, And When It Is Not

A free cyber assessment is worth doing if something has recently made you uneasy. A phishing attempt that got further than it should have. A cyber insurance renewal asking questions nobody can answer. An acquisition or an audit on the horizon. A provider relationship that has quietly thinned out. Or simply the realization that nobody has tested a restore in longer than anyone wants to admit.

A free cyber assessment is probably not worth doing if you had a thorough independent assessment in the last six months and acted on it, or if you are looking for a document to satisfy a checkbox rather than to change anything. We will say so on the first call rather than take up your afternoon.

Size is less of a factor than people assume. We have run this for firms of a dozen people and for businesses with several hundred across multiple sites, and the process is the same. What changes is how long the assessment takes and how many findings come back, not whether it is worth doing.

You also do not need to be unhappy with your current provider. A reasonable number of the assessments we run are for businesses that are broadly satisfied and simply want an independent view, often because an insurer, a client or an auditor has started asking sharper questions than anybody was ready for.

What We Look At

The Six Areas Our Cybersecurity Assessment Checks

Identity. Who has administrative rights, whether multi-factor authentication genuinely covers everything rather than just email, and whether accounts belonging to people who have left are still active. Identity is where most breaches escalate from a nuisance into a serious event.

Endpoints. What is actually installed on the machines, whether the security tooling is reporting or silently failing, and how far behind the patching has drifted. A monitoring agent that stopped checking in four months ago is a common and uncomfortable finding.

Email. Where the mail security sits, whether forwarding rules have been created that nobody authorized, and how well protected the people who move money are. Business email compromise remains the most expensive attack most firms will face.

Backup. Not whether backups run, but whether they are immutable, whether they cover the things that would actually stop the business, and when a restore was last performed and verified rather than assumed.

Exposure. What of yours is visible from the internet, which remote access paths exist, and whether any of your credentials are already circulating from a third-party breach.

Response. Whether a written incident plan exists, whether anybody has read it, and whether the phone numbers in it are current. Most plans fail on the third point.

Common Questions

Questions We Get Asked

Questions about the free cyber assessment.

Yes. No fee, no obligation, and you keep the written roadmap regardless of what you decide afterwards.

Roughly thirty minutes, plus a short introductory call beforehand. We work around your schedule rather than requiring a room full of people.

No. The assessment is read-only and staff will not notice it happening.

Limited, scoped and read-only access for the duration, agreed in writing before we begin. We do not need administrative control to assess.

Then we tell you that plainly. It happens, and it is a legitimate result rather than a failed sales call.

Not unless you want them to. The assessment does not require their involvement or their cooperation.

A certified engineer from our own team. There is no subcontractor and no offshore analyst reviewing your estate.

Yes. Ask us for references, including Georgia law firms you may know.

Yes. Findings are shared only with the people you nominate, and we will sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before we begin if you would prefer.

No. You get the roadmap and one follow-up conversation. If the answer is no, that is the end of it and you keep the document.

Yes. Multi-site estates are common and are assessed as a single environment rather than as separate reports that never quite agree.

Usually within a week of the first call, often sooner, and considerably faster if there is an active problem driving the inquiry.

What To Look For

What To Look For In A Free Cyber Assessment

Free cyber assessments vary widely, so judge each offer by what it produces. Ask whether you receive written findings ranked by risk, who actually performs the review, and whether the report is yours to keep or only shown during a sales call.

A useful assessment looks at evidence, not intentions: whether backups have been restored and tested, and how your controls compare with a recognized standard. Our assessment findings are written against NIST CSF, CISA guidance and CIS v8, each where it applies, so you can pass the report straight to an auditor or insurer.

Every free cyber assessment we deliver is held to that test, and it is how many businesses first see the gap between a provider that looks compliant on paper and one that actually shows up.
