Our Story

Why This Company Exists

UniVirtual Solutions was founded in 2009 by a United States Air Force veteran, and it is still a veteran-owned IT company, and family-owned, today. That is not a marketing line, it is the reason the company is structured the way it is.

The founding observation was simple and it still holds. Small and mid-sized businesses were being sold the shape of enterprise IT support without any of the substance: a ticketing system, a service level agreement, and a first line of contact whose actual job was to decide whether your problem deserved someone competent. Clients were paying for process rather than for expertise.

We built a veteran-owned IT company that does the opposite. Our support team consists only of certified high-level engineers, which means there is nobody here to escalate to because the first person you reach can already help. Each client is assigned a specific engineer with a named backup, and those engineers learn your business rather than reading your history off a screen.

It is a deliberately harder company to scale. It is also why clients stay, and why the reviews on this site talk about people by name rather than about tooling.

What We Believe

Four Things We Will Not Compromise On

Excellence

Certified engineers only. We would rather grow slowly than staff a front line with people who cannot solve the problem in front of them.

Innovation

We adopt technology when it genuinely helps a client, and we say so plainly when it does not. That includes telling you not to buy something.

Professionalism

Response times are commitments rather than aspirations, and the Make It Right service guarantee exists because a promise that costs nothing to break is not a promise.

Personalization

You deal with the engineers who already know your network. No ticket lottery, no tier-one script, and no account manager standing between you and the person who can actually fix the problem.

How We Work

Security First, Because That Is Where The Risk Actually Is

We are an MSSP rather than an MSP that added security later, and the distinction shows up in how the service is built. The security stack is inside the agreement rather than sold back to you when something goes wrong, monitoring runs around the clock rather than during office hours, and the incident response is documented with a clock on it.

Alongside that, as a veteran-owned IT company we went deep in three industries instead of broad across twelve. Law firms, distribution and logistics, and manufacturing are where we have the most experience and the most specific knowledge, so a conversation starts from what you actually run rather than from a discovery questionnaire. Keeping the focus that narrow is what keeps the depth real.

Where We Work

Where We Work

Metro Atlanta

Our headquarters, and where the majority of our clients are. On-site attendance across the metro, including Alpharetta, Marietta, Sandy Springs and Roswell.

The rest of Georgia

Macon, Columbus, Augusta and Savannah, supported by the same engineers and the same security operation rather than a franchise arrangement.

Florida

Tampa, Orlando and Fort Myers, with the same response commitments that apply in Georgia.

The Named Engineer

Why One Person Is Assigned To Your Business

The single most common complaint we hear about a previous provider is not price or downtime. It is having to explain the business again to somebody new, on a bad day, when the person calling already knows what is wrong and simply needs it fixed.

Every client of this veteran-owned IT company is assigned a specific certified engineer, with a named backup so continuity never depends on one person being available. That engineer learns your applications, your deadlines, your people and the quirks of your environment. Over a year that accumulated knowledge is worth more than any tool we deploy, because it is the difference between diagnosing a problem and recognizing it.

It also changes the relationship. An engineer who will personally answer the next call has a direct interest in fixing the underlying cause rather than closing the ticket, and that incentive is impossible to replicate with a queue.

Common Questions

Questions We Get Asked About Our Veteran-Owned IT Company

Questions people ask before they engage a veteran-owned IT company like ours.

Since 2009. We are veteran-owned and family-owned, and the founder is still involved in the business daily.

Deliberately smaller than providers of comparable capability, because we only employ certified engineers rather than staffing a tier-one layer. It is why you get a named engineer rather than a queue.

Yes. We serve the rest of Georgia, including Macon, Columbus, Augusta and Savannah, and Tampa, Orlando and Fort Myers in Florida, with the same team and the same commitments, rather than through franchises or partners.

Our engineers hold current vendor and security certifications relevant to the platforms we support. We are happy to share specifics during a conversation rather than listing badges here.

A commitment that if we do not deliver what we agreed, we put it right. It is written into our client agreements and it exists because a service promise with no consequence attached is not really a promise.

Our Clients

Who We Work With, And Why They Stay

As a veteran-owned IT company, our client base is concentrated across Georgia and built around three kinds of business where a technology failure has consequences beyond inconvenience: law firms, distributors and manufacturers.

The pattern in how they arrive is consistent. Something happened, or nearly happened, and it exposed that nobody was really watching. A backup that had not run. An email that nearly moved six figures. A cyber insurance renewal that asked questions nobody could answer honestly. By the time we are called, the business has usually decided that the cheapest option was not cheap.

The pattern in why they stay is simpler. They speak to the same engineer, that engineer knows their business, and the things they were promised actually happen. Several of the reviews on this site name people rather than technology, which tells you more about how the service works than any description we could write.

What To Look For

Veteran-Owned IT Company Atlanta: What To Look For

A veteran-owned IT company should be judged like any other provider: by what it will put in a signed agreement, not by its owner’s service record. Get the security event response time in writing, find out which engineer takes a call at 2am, and check if security tools sit inside the contract or come back later as an add-on.

Discipline shows in the records. Ask to see a tested restore and the standard the provider’s controls follow. Our records track NIST CSF, CISA guidance and CIS v8, each where it applies, and stay current, so an audit or a policy renewal means sending files rather than rushing to build them.

We apply that same test to ourselves as a veteran-owned IT company in Atlanta. Many of our clients arrived after years with a provider that ticked the compliance boxes and still went quiet when something broke. Clients stay with a veteran-owned IT company in Atlanta because the answers stay the same year to year.

Ready When You Are

Talk To The People Who Would Actually Run Your IT

No sales engineer, no discovery questionnaire. A conversation with a certified engineer about what is genuinely going wrong. Being a veteran-owned IT company in Atlanta is not a marketing line, it is how the business is run.
